wow. back from malaysia again, for 6 days this time.
no wonder i haven't blogged for so long. haha.
this time it was for basketball. in the end, only one match was played in six days. it was supposed to have been three, but no, rain and other weirder problems cancelled the two matches. in the end we only played MCKK( Malay College Kuala Kangsar). they won, but they were good. their defence was just intimidating.
the first day was supposed to have been a match against College Yayasan Saad. but it was cancelled so we had training instead. nothing much about that. in the night we checked into century mahkota. we stayed in the serviced apartments. me, ryan chin, ryan tan and ravins were assigned to the same apartment. E & R & R & R. there were two rooms, but ryan and ravin's rooom had a broken airconditioner. haha. so in the end all four of us slept in one room. we stayed up till quite late though, about 1245 am.
the next day we checked out of century mahkota (noooo), and there was a 9 hour bus-ride ahead. the place was kuala kangsar, and it was further than ipoh even. it was expressway all the way though, and sleeping wasnt much of a problem. we reached the place after a long ride and with cramped legs. they welcomed us with food though, some mee goreng, and it was supposed to be our lunch at 330!? never mind about that. they brought us to our hostel, and IT WAS GREAT!
i swear i will never stay in a hostel ever again.
not ever.
the bed was okay, but that wasn't the point. it was the bugs that really got on my nerves. bugS. notice the capital S? the bugs were in the thousands. you killed them, they came back. and not just mosquitoes, mind you, but six thousand and twenty three other species of insects as well. oh man. i slept on an upper bunk, near the light, which meant that the light-loving flies loved me as well.
the next day was boring, again. it was match day, and the morning we went to some stream near the school. it was quite fun, and we were throwing rocks into the stream like no one's business. we even took a rock that required 3 people to carry, and tossed it down from the top of the bridge. it was probably about 300 kilos. whoo. the splash, baby. then, match, some kind of farewell function, and the night at the hostel again. (noooo.)
we left MCKK the next day! whooo!!! no more bugs! it was a 6 hour bus ride (if i'm not wrong)to KL. when we reached we went to Mid-valley Megamall for shopping. haha. i regretted brining only 50 ringgit, but luckily i had some sing dollars to change. i bought a t-shirt for myself(25RM), a Dunks VCD for my bro(15 RM), some chocolates for my dad(17RM), and a keychain for my mom(5RM). heh. then we had dinner at KennyRogers, and i ate a quarter chicken. next we went to the hotel, which was Crown Princess Hotel.
ohman it was excellent, fantabulastic, and stupendous. all at the same time. it was a five-star, which meant, like WOW!, compared to our residence just a day ago. rich. i love hotels. we all slept late that night, maybe 1 plus AM, playing cards, and stuff. i learned bridge. (:
the nexter day was supposed to be a match day, but thtere wasn't anything on in the morning. therefore, everyone was slacking from 8am to 2pm. woohoo. we all gathered in gerrard's room to watch Miami vs Dallas, game 4. Miami won, hurrah. three cheers for Dwayne Wade. later in the afternoon nothing happened, except we went to SMS Selangor for a match. too bad it rained. rugby still played though, despite the rain. after that, the situation on the bus was comic! chander had to shit! HAHA. he asked people for a plastic bag and tissue. HE WANTED TO SHIT ON THE BUS OMG. everyone 'ran' from him. LOL. luckily we reached our dinner restaurant in time for him to shit, otherwise the bus would have smelled like heaven for the next day.
the next day we went to Sunway Lagoon early in the morining till early afternoon. i didnt go for the wet rides though, i felt they were troublesome. instead i just stayed at the cafe and played cards with some of the rest, and played nicholas chong's PSP as well. i only took one ride though, a 360 degree rotating pirate ship. weee. it was FUN. i sat with teohong, weekuang and yifei. teohong had the daylights hocked out of him, he was clenching his eyes shut throughout the ride LOL! and shouting. poor him, awww.
then it was a 5 hour ride home. when we were leaving the place, it rained so bloody hard that we were all soaked. really soaked. just the same effect of having waded into a bathtub, lying in it, then coming back out. basically dripping wet.
then we slept on the bus, and reached school at 9 o clock, right on time. yay.
all in all, a great trip. (:
